PC Magazine

Great display for the price, but lags behind higher-end Android tablets in terms of performance

from PC Magazine

The Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 has a great screen for the price, along with long battery life and good camera quality. It's a solid choice for multimedia playback, but its performance is uninspiring. If you don't mind spending a bit more and dropping down to an 8-inch screen, the Asus Zen Pad S 8.0 offers a lot more power and an even higher screen resolution. Otherwise, the 9.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is your best—and priciest—Android option.

It’s certainly a great experience for a wallet-friendly price

from GottaBeMobile

In the end this tablet isn’t perfect, but it’s not bad either. While it could be better in some areas, it nails most of the important aspects in terms of a media consumption device. It has a decent design, a pretty great display, with excellent battery life and sound. Not to mention a micro-SD card to expand storage and fill it full of apps, games, movies or music. For buyers movies will look and sound great, the battery will last long enough to watch more than a movie or two, and the additional storage means owners won’t have to worry about running out of space after they add movies and games to it.

While there are plenty of other excellent options that cost more or have smaller screens, it will be hard to find as complete of an experience in the 10-inch form factor that can match the $179 price point of the Lenovo Tab 2 A10. The screen has more glare than we’d like, the camera could be a little better, and the build quality is sub-par at best, but then again, this tablet is less than $200.

Laptop Magazine

Bright and colorful screen, strong overall performance

from Laptop Magazine

With its amazing battery life and bright, colorful screen, Lenovo's Tab 2 A10 ($198) is the best 10-inch budget tablet yet. The similarly priced Asus ZenPad S 8.0 ($199) offers better performance and comes with 32GB of storage, but the Tab 2 A10 has a better display and lasts almost twice as long on a charge. If you're looking for an affordable tablet that can go the distance, get the Tab 2 A10. We would just recommend that you spend the extra $20 on the extra 16GB of storage.

Notebookcheck

Despite the rather uninspiring design, the build quality is decent

from Notebookcheck

The Lenovo TAB 2 A10 is a worthy 10.1-inch tablet and a definite improvement over the predecessor IdeaPad A10 Tablet. The slate offers a bright IPS display panel with Full-HD resolution, a decent quad-core SoC and an above-average sound system. Despite the rather uninspiring design, the build quality is decent, although the creaking sounds when handling the tablet can get a bit annoying after a while. We also wish that Lenovo had integrated a physical video-out, since that omission limits the multimedia capabilities somewhat. At the time of this article, the tablet is available for around $180 on Amazon - quite a bargain in our opinion.
