What the Critics Are Saying...

The Balance

The CitiBusiness AAdvantage Platinum Select World Mastercard boasts the most valuable miles and the best sign-up bonus among airline-branded business cards, a free checked bag benefit, and no annual fee for the first year, making it an excellent card for business owners seeking airline rewards.

- Sienna Kossman, The Balance
One Mile at a Time

Offers an excellent welcome bonus with an annual fee that’s waived for the first year. The card also offers perks like a first checked bag free that some people may get value out of. But this isn’t a card I’d be putting much spending on, given all of the great business credit cards out there.

LendEDU

The CitiBusiness AAdvantage card is a good option for anyone who travels frequently for business. Citi offers generous travel rewards and perks for customers who often fly with American Airlines. However, if you don’t need the travel rewards, the $99 annual fee may not be worth it.

There is a lot to love about this card, whether or not you frequently fly American. The current sign-up bonus alone makes it a worthy card, in my opinion. You’re not getting some of the luxury benefits that some top-tier business cards offer, but that’s to be expected with a $99 annual fee.

Not a credit card for everyday spending

from One Mile at a Time

Offers an excellent welcome bonus with an annual fee that’s waived for the first year. The card also offers perks like a first checked bag free that some people may get value out of. But this isn’t a card I’d be putting much spending on, given all of the great business credit cards out there.

Still a great avenue for collecting miles

from CreditCards.com

Though there are far better airline cards for business owners, frequent flyers of American Airlines will find plenty of value in the CitiBusiness / AAdvantage Platinum Select World Mastercard to justify the card’s high annual fee.

The current welcome bonus on the CitiBusiness AAdvantage Platinum Card is the best I ever recall seeing, and if you’re eligible, I highly recommend applying. This is a card I applied for myself, and that I look forward to getting a lot of value out of.

ValuePenguin

Designed for small businesses that travel a lot with American Airlines

from ValuePenguin

The card’s overall rewards rate is fairly competitive, when matched up against some of the best small-business credit cards. All of the card’s value, however, is tied up with the airline its affiliated with. If you or your employees do not travel with AA at least a couple of times each year then this card is worthless.
