The Samsung Freeform 5 is a candybar-style, basic feature phone that offers a 2.4 inch, 160x120 resolution display, QWERTY keyboard, 3 megapixel camera, and a talk time of up to 6 hours.
The Freeform 5’s QVGA display was not well received by most reviewers. “Its screen's QVGA, 320x240-pixel resolution looks unfocused and colors are dull, without gradients,” according to CNET.
The phone's four-row QWERTY keyboard consists of individual raised, contoured keys and a familiar layout. “The Freeform 5’s responsive, compact QWERTY keyboard is a fairly good one, as far as the button layout goes,” CTNTechnologynews said.
Other features include Bluetooth 3.0, WAP browser, Caller ID readout and music player.
If you really want an old-school style QWERTY phone, the Samsung Freeform 5 is an option. However, reviewers suggest considering others. “Consider buying the Samsung Freeform 5 if you really need a QWERTY feature phone, but rival handsets will get you about the same experience for less,” CNET said.
