What the Critics Are Saying...

Venture Beat

As a first foray into this space, the Razer Phone is an incredible device. When it comes to consuming media and games, I don’t think you can get a better smartphone.

- Jeff Grubb, Venture Beat
Make Use Of

Razer's first iteration of a mobile device is bringing true innovation. If the cameras were improved, it would be near perfect.

- Yusuf Limalia, Make Use Of
Tech Advisor

The Razer Phone is the perfect smartphone... if you're a gamer. While it doesn’t feature the sleek, bezel-less design of other flagship smartphones, no other deviceon the market can come close to matching the stunning 120Hz refresh rate.

- Lewis Painter, Tech Advisor
Techgoondu

If you are looking for a powerful phone, the Razer Phone comes packed with the hardware. It should not falter when you’re firing up the most demanding mobile games and apps. Video editing won’t be a huge issue as well.

- Wilson Wong, Techgoondu
SlashGear

Razer released a smartphone that’s the best in its field, made for gamers but well above average for everybody else.

It certainly has a lot of potential

If you are someone who enjoys using your phone for media and gaming then this is definitely one to consider. If you are a keen “snapper” then I cannot recommend this at the moment.

Does deliver when it comes to gaming

Right now, the Razer Phone just isn't worth it. It's got some great ideas in there, but even the smoothest display in the world couldn't make up for all the other loose ends scattered about.

Razer Phone sets a new bar for mobile performance (and game responsiveness) with its 120Hz screen and loud speakers, but it's not a top-tier phone in any other way.

A tough sell, even if it's great for gamers

Delightfully different

from Gizmodo

The Razer Phone is a solid effort that zigs when every other phone is zagging. It’s not perfect, but there’s a ton of potential, and even with the flaws on its first attempt, the Razer Phone deserves some credit for being delightfully different.
