Its design is pleasant, at least for its price range, and its camera and Android One are undoubtedly great assets, but these defects spoil everything and make the user experience appalling. The 7.1 price will vary depending on retailer, age, special offers and whether or not it's purchased with a service plan. If your 7.1 has problems and is still within its warranty period, you could contact Nokia support or the retailer you purchased the phone from. You'll find Nokia's contact information here. If your phone is off warranty and needs repair for a physical problem such as a broken screen or bad battery, you should visit an authorized service centre or a local phone repair shop. It’s a solid, minimalist phone with pretty much every feature you need, and with a price tag of $350, even before any discounts, the Nokia 7.1 feels like a steal.

So much wasted potential

Its design is pleasant, at least for its price range, and its camera and Android One are undoubtedly great assets, but these defects spoil everything and make the user experience appalling. The bugs are so annoying, to such an extent that you can't trust the device when you need it (the screen freezes when you're on Google Maps).

Android Police

Unrealized potential

from Android Police

Nokia rightly deserves praise for offering a device with these specs for $350, but it doesn't do you much good if the performance isn't up to par. And then there's the fingerprint sensor, which is slow and rejects scans too often. Hopefully, the Pie update is better optimized than the Oreo launch software.

A new contender for the mid-range king

Nokia knocked it out of the park with the Nokia 7.1. It looks and feels great, has a gorgeous display, excellent battery life, and much more. Performance can be a little sluggish at times, but for just $350, you're getting far more than your money's worth.

A fine mid-range handset worthy of your consideration

With the Nokia 7.1, the brand continues its run of impressive mid-range phones carrying close-to-stock Android. While the phone has weaknesses, overall it offers better quality and features than you would expect at this price.

Android Authority

The performance is a mar on an otherwise well-designed and pleasing device

from Android Authority

It’s a good phone in its own right. Casual users won’t be disappointed with its build, though the performance might be a gripe until HMD patch the bugs. Six months ago, I’d have said it was great value for money. If you’re interested in performance and you want to get the most bang for your buck, there are better deals to be found.
