A couple of years ago a bought a super cheap ebay replacement battery for it and it's still going several days at a charge. We live in a rural area and I get super reception with it and it always seams to work where other phones do not. All over the Continental US and Alaska, British Columbia, Jamaica, Mexico, Grand Cayman... NEVER dropped a call and I've dropped the phone several times. Super phone for talking on! Less

Most reviewers are right, the thing is a brick. It isn't fast, it isn't beautiful. However, it is will stand up to some serious punishment. My phone has been drenched, smashed, thrown, etc. Short of running it over with a car, stomping on it hard, or putting it directly into the washing machine, this thing is pretty damn tough. I work in tough environments and this little phone has impressed me, and the people who I work with who see how beat up it gets. A few LEOs and some postal workers I know carry this model cell phone. Why? Because it get's signal in places a lot of phones on the same network wont get signal, and the damn thing is tough. The battery problem is completely true, which is the one serious downside to this phone. But talking to a few people, this is probably because of charging it from cars (which supposedly greatly diminishes the capacity of your batteries over time) and the normal cycle use of your batteries especially if you use them a lot. There's nothing wrong with this phone...

This is not a kiddie phone, it's not cute or pretty, a keyboard isn't going to pop out of it and attack you, it's not a toy....this phone is more of a tool and a great one at that, it's LOUD, you can hear it ring riding in a boxcar on a railroad track, furthermore, the volume while talking on it is lou...More

The only problem with this phone is VERIZON... don't listen to the idiots yelling "dont buy it" because they probably aren't smart enough to figure out how to use it....this isn't a great TEXTING phone, but if you just want to talk or surf the web and you don't need bells and whistles and kiddie crap, and you need a phone that you can depend on, this phone is for you, I would recomend buying the larger battery, and you'll do just fine. This is the best phone I ever had, and I've had almost all...this is a working man's phone. I have a Blackberry now, and the pissy peice of crap is in 3 peices, you can't hear it, if you blow on it the stupid ball falls off, it's slow and hangs up and I would trade it for the MOTO V325i in a heart beat, the V325 ain't a portable entertainment center, but it will get the job done... Camera isn't even worth opening up... the worst is when I'm in a class/at meeting the volume changes on me by pressing outer keys it can change from silent to ringing or vice-versa. I would advise strongly against this phone. Less

Good phone

from Amazon
This phone is easy to use. the antenna extends, it is also a speaker phones, so you do not have to hold the phone when you are driving. I never noticed it but sometimes, when on a call the people on the other end say you fade in and out.

Pathetic!

from Amazon
I've owned this junk for almost a year and a half and already replaced it twice. Not only does is the battery life next to nonexistent, but the port to charge it gets messed up easy. Recently the microphone also went out so all i can do is check my voicemail and text. The camera quality is also very lame, I wouldn't give it to my worst enemy.

Pro: Nice design, lights up on outside. holds many texts without having to delete them. Con: bad antenna, battery life horrindous, outside plate loses stick and falls off, camera is bad, extremely slow use, freezes, basically this phone is loaded with design flaws dont waste any money on it

Camera button in bad place. Easy to press, when pressing menu. Camera quality low. Not bluetooth allowed. Calender doesn't allow you to correct date.

BUT, the interface is easy and it beeps every few minutes when you have a missed call, and not many phones do that nowadays. That's a biggie. One problem I have that no one mentioned (and maybe it's regional), but try as I might, I can't do voice dialing bec the phone can't understand my accent. Even if I PRETEND not to have a southern accent - it can't tell what the heck I'm saying - it just keeps guessing any number of incorrect names. Other than those, I really like the phone :-) Less

We purchased the phone as a replacement for a V325 that went through the washing machine. The V325 was a work horse and put up with a lot from out teenager. This phone is almost exactly like the V325 but has a bluetooth upgrade. One of the reasons we picked it was it was compatible with all the peripherals we already own (although I'll probably have to buy a bluetooth headset). The phone was in new condition and it was less expensive than a replacement phone through Verizon or even paying the deductible on the insurance. So far it is working great and if we keep it away from water, I don't think we're going to have any problems with the phone. Less
