If I could give this zero stars, I would. Worst phone I have ever owned. I will NEVER purchase another motorola phone again. Not only is the battery life so pitiful that I had to purchase a car charger to make sure I had battery life in an emergency but the battery alert cannot be turned off without turning off the phone. So, guess who has to get up in the middle of the night to find the phone somewhere in the house- the battery alert is so LOUD (not adjustable) that it wakes up the whole house. And it goes off every minute or 2 for the hour it takes for the darn thing to die. Also, one of the reasons I believe the battery life is so poor is because the image on the front of the phone lights up every 30 seconds- very distracting if you sleep with your phone near you in bed, and also a huge and pointless waste of energy. I dropped it on my wood dresser and the whole front cracked. The worst part is the battery life. It lasts no time!!! A 10 minute phone call will drop the battery to only 1 bar left, and don;t even think about trying to send a picture message, it will about knock out all your battery. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PHONE TO ANYONE!!! Less

I got this phone in October of 2008 and in the begining it was all right. I only had to charge it up and it would last for at least 4 days. Then only weeks later it started to get weaker and weaker and eventually if I wasn't talking on it, it was on the charger. Then as if it couldn't get any better the the dang thing just shuts off when it wants to. It says that it has a low battery and shuts off as if the battery has give out, but only 5 mins. before, it had a full charge. It also continues to do this even after a software upgrade and new battery. And verizon isn't much help either. The guys who sold me the phone and swore how good it was is pretty much telling me now that its not their problem and I don't have another upgrade until October of this year. VERIZON AND THE KRAZR SUCK!!! I swear I'm going to AllTell!! Less

I got this phone for xmas when I was 12. I was really excited, because it was my first phone. It looks great too! But then, six months later, I wish I had a better phone. I mean I'm still glad that I have a phone! I have some friends that don't have phones, and I'm really grateful to have one! But it dies as soon as you've charged it for the whole night. I call one person (ONE!!) and it dies in the middle of your conversation. Sometimes the screen will go blank or the picture will freeze up. You might be thinking that I'm just an irresponsible teen that drops her phone all the time, but I'm not! I never let my phone touch the ground, let alone drop it! My friends and I always joke around about how they'll call me later if my phone's not dead...it's embarassing! If you want a good, working phone, don't buy the KRZR! If you want a phone that dies every two seconds buy the KRZR! I've had this phone for a year and a month and I can't wait to get a new one!! (If you're a parrent don't get your kid a KRZR! Go with and LG Voyager or Blackberry!!) Less

This phone is good BUT

from Amazon
I had this phone since Feb. I have the white one with the mirror plate. It's a good phone, has good sound, good reception and a decent camera BUT it isn't the greatest phone. The finish on my keypad is already wearing off as well as the silver finish around the mail screen. The inbox fills up FAST, the warning message is a little annoying.

This was the last phone I had with Verizon before I switched to a different service. I bought a clear protective cover, but when I dropped the phone the case broke. Then I bought a new clear cover and the same thing happened. The phone was really nice, I really liked it, until i dropped it once after giving up on the protective covers, and the front of it fell flat on the floor. It cracked in a weird tree-like pattern, and after that it was just sad to look at. Other people said the crack made it look more original. Afterwards every time I saw someone with that phone, they had cracks in theirs too, all in weird little tree designs. Just make sure you don't drop it, and everything will be fine. Less

Worst phone I've owned

I got this phone at the same time I switched service from AT&T to Verizon. I'm happy with Verizon as far as customer service, etc., but I wish I'd never laid eyes on this phone. Previously, I owned a RAZR, so I thought, "This is Motorola too, and will be as great a phone as that was." Not so. The signal reception was extremely inconsistent, and it has trouble picking up anything in my apartment. I'd had some trouble with that before, because of where I live, but nothing like this. I had to stand by my bathroom window to get a decent enough signal to make calls, and even then it frequently lost calls. Other friends with Verizon don't have this same issue, so I know it is the phone. Also, the battery life is far shorter than advertised. I got the battery replaced, because I was charging twice a day (or more, if I used it often), and even the new battery had problems. And, it randomly shut off or froze up for no apparent reason. When I finally gave up and went to the store to get a new phone (three months into my contract) the woman beside me at the customer service counter said she'd had similar problems with her daughter's phone, and brought it back for a replacement so many times they gave her a free upgrade. I didn't have the time to mess with that so I just paid for my upgrade, but the extra money is worth never having to use this phone again. Less

I have had this phone since the beginning of March and I have really had no problems with it. I was a little leery of getting another Motorola because the one I had froze up all the time when my text messages needed to be erased. So far I haven't had that. The slim design and nice color really attracted me to the phone and then I did some reading of reviews on the phone. Most people seemed very happy with it so I took and chance and ordered it on my New every Two plan from Verizon. Some issues that I have noticed is the battery life can last for about 12 hours one day and then it could last for a few days after I charge it. The only other thing I noticed is every once in a while I do get an echo when I am talking on the phone with someone but it could just be the connection. The echo maybe has happened once or twice and I have called the people back with no issues. I would definitely recommend this phone to people. Less

My coworker has had this phone since Oct. 2007 and she replaced it TWO times with the same phone, then replaced it with a Samsung! Depending on which Verizon store you deal with they'll either replace it with another bad KraZr or send you away. This phone just turns off when it feels like it, freezes up mid-text or mid-call, etc. I even wrote to Motorola...they say it's the battery, but it's HIGHLY unlikely! Don't buy it!! Less
