The G Pro 2 is LG's second foray into the phablet market and is the successor of the G Pro. LG has made some slight changes to the hardware in order to remain competitive against the likes of Samsung and HTC. The most visible update is to its screen size. Measuring in at 5.9 inches, the display is 0.4 inches larger than its predecessor and offers a full HD resolution of 1080p. Although the pixel density is slightly lower than the G Pro at 373ppi, most critics barely noticed a difference and they mention that the additional screen real estate is worth the cost of a few pixels per inch. In addition, they also mention that the screen has great viewing angles and is easy to see in direct sunlight. With that being said, critics warn that the device is practically impossible to use one-handed and has a tendency to slip from their grasp.
As LG's flagship phablet phone, the G Pro 2 offers top a 2.3GHz quad-core processor and 3GB of RAM. Phone Arena calls it "an absolute powerhouse" and describes its performance as "crystal-smooth, with barely any hiccups." Battery life has also improved from its predecessor thanks to a 3,200mAh cell. During battery draining tests, it lasted well over 9 hours and when tested in real life situations, experts clocked it at over a day of moderate usage.
The LG G Pro 2 comes equipped with a front 2.1MP camera that offers a selfie mode and a voice activated shutter. The main camera is 13MP and Slash Gear considers it, "LG's finest smartphone-based camera to date." Other reviewers also describe the main camera as excellent, citing its sharp images, excellent color reproduction. Even in low-light conditions, they barely noticed any digital noise. Aside from taking pictures, it can also take 4K videos and 120FPS slow-motion recordings.
Overall, critics have high praises for the LG G Pro 2. Engadget states, "Of LG's lineup of large-screened smartphones, this is our favorite so far." CNET adds, "…the LG G Pro 2 is an excellent smartphone no matter which way you slice it."

- Dhruv Bhutani, Fone ArenaThe LG G Pro 2 is a decent smartphone, we could even call it a good flagship level device but there’s nothing that makes it a great high end device deserving of its price.
