Gets the job done when needed in certain "dangerous for smartphone" environments
This device did take a bit of getting used to as a daily driver during our testing period as we came from a higher powered smartphone. Indeed, we noticed the differences after using something more robust. Average, and first time buyers, though, may not see any visible lag or under-performance. Kyocera sticks to what’s important for industrial users and the more accident prone customer. If you are looking for the latest and greatest (with or without element resisting features), this device is most certainly not for you.

How i see the hydro
The Kyocera Hydro is an excellent phone. I had no choice but to get it and ive had it about a week. So, heres how i see it. I dont like how hot it gets. Just sitting there its over 35 c. That is hot for a phone. I do like how even in the rain the phone still worked as if it was dry. I could still use the touch and all. Its a wonderful phone if you have limited options or you really want the durability and waterproofness. Other than that. It better to go with a new phone as i have had problems with it slowing down and even just texting sometime you have to push a letter twice because the phone slowed down and didnt get the push. Please note, i havent rooted the phone and changing the keyboard out to a different keyboard fixed the problem but still slow. I would recommend if your stuck with this phone to switch out the keyboard and if you have knowledge of root. To root it and remove all of the systems apps. This should make it faster and maybe even kill the need to change the keyboard. VinceLess
