The "1-Minute" Review
The iPhone 13 Pro Max is the largest in the 2021 line of iPhone models and carries very similar specs to the slightly smaller iPhone 13 Pro.
What’s The Same?
- 120Hz adaptive refresh rate
- A15 Bionic chipset
- iOS 15
- Cinematic mode
- Super Retina XDR OLED display
- Tri-lens camera
- Bigger phone
- 6.7-inch display
- Improved battery
The extra screen real estate on the iPhone 13 Pro Max might be of benefit to gamers, those videographers wanting to take full advantage of the new cinematic mode, or for those who like to binge-watch shows and movies via streaming services on the go.
While Apple does not release the actual battery capacity of its phones, reviewers reported one or two hours more of use between charges with the iPhone 13 Pro Max than the smaller Pro model as well.
Everything else is basically identical. You can read more about what to expect in our iPhone 13 Pro review!
Tom’s Guide says, “The winner of the iPhone 13 Pro vs iPhone 13 Pro Max fight comes down to what you're looking for in your next phone. If you want a bigger display and longer battery life, our money is on the Pro Max despite the higher price.”
