Offer exceptional sound quality at a great price

from TrustedReviews

The Bowers & Wilkins PI3 are the perfect neckband earphones for those whose priority is sound quality above all else. Audio quality per pound is remarkable, and they're more consistent performers than the £300 Sony WI-1000XM2. However, battery life should be better at this price.

Apart from the limited number of eartip options, there are few downsides to the B&W PI3s. There is some cable noise to contend with, but this isn’t exactly uncommon for products of this type and we certainly don’t consider it a deal-breaker. If the headphones fit you well, they are confident and composed performers that serve to expand B&W’s headphone offering for the better.

Neckbuds for audiophiles

from Expert Reviews

There’s no doubt about it, Bowers & Wilkins have got the sound quality of the PI3 absolutely spot on. You won’t get a better sounding pair of neckband-style in-ear headphones for the money. They’re also supremely easy to use, well-built and look great.

Neckband in-ears from the audiophile guys

The build quality is first class, the sound is balanced, clean, and overall fantastic, and the design is typical of what we have come to expect from these guys. If you are looking for a pair of neckband-style wireless headphones and don't mind paying a premium, I can recommend the PI3s.

When Bowers & Wilkins do something, they want to do it well. With the PI3, they succeed, but with some slight limitations, which are what such a high-priced product is supposed to address: spongy pressure points, average voice quality during telephone calls, and the somewhat heavy bass alignment of the in-ears overall. The latter in particular could, of course, be judged as a quality feature and not as a defect. That’s why I will give these in-ears a good mark; apart from quality, texture and appearance – which, by the way, all interact very well – the positive sound impressions are more important than my rather petty complaining about the bass.
