It offers an APR of 0% for 18 months, then 13.24%, 17.24% or 21.24%, which gives you time and flexibility on paying back your debt. The downside is, the the HSBC Gold Mastercard® charges a high balance transfer fee of either $10 or 4%, whichever is greater. That's higher than a lot of comparable cards on the market. Furthermore, the card also lacks any kind of rewards. Once that 0% APR period ends, the HSBC Gold Mastercard® doesn't retain much value.
