Well, I was blown away that it had a flagship processor, the Qualcomm SD855+, the quad Periscope camera and by the value. I expected to see this configuration closer to $1000 than $699. I can’t quite give it 5/5 because it has no micro-SD slot or 3.5mm jack. But, who cares if you buy the $799, 12/25...

There is some room for improvement on the realme X3 SuperZoom – that battery life is the primary one, but it could also use some level of IP-rated water resistance, storage expansion would be nice and I'd kill for a clean Android version of this phone – but it's overall a phone that absolutely punch...

The Realme X3 SuperZoom is indeed a good all-rounder. Some of this phone's strong points include the smooth display, excellent battery life, strong performance, and the impressive telephoto camera. Low-light camera performance is still a bit weak, and I do miss having stereo speakers.

The realme X3 SuperZoom is certainly a contender for the standout of the mid-range — it’s camera is definitely good, the hardware is really good but it is let down by having an LCD display and software with quirks. I can’t quite give it 5/5 because it has no micro-SD slot or 3.5mm jack. But, who cares if you buy the $799, 12/256GB model that is exclusive to JB and includes bonus realme buds at $149. We will forgive no Qi charging and a formal IP rating. It earns extra points for the grunty processor and Periscope camera. There are no competitors in this space for the price.

There is some room for improvement on the realme X3 SuperZoom – that battery life is the primary one, but it could also use some level of IP-rated water resistance, storage expansion would be nice and I'd kill for a clean Android version of this phone – but it's overall a phone that absolutely punches well above its weight in terms of features and performance. It's not only the best mid-range phone you can buy right now, but also a solid contender in the lower end of the flagship space too.

The realme X3 SuperZoom is certainly a contender for the standout of the mid-range — it’s camera is definitely good, the hardware is really good but it is let down by having an LCD display and software with quirks. In saying that though it is still one of the best mid-range devices I have come across. There are very few corners cut for it to make the mid-range, with basically the display being the only one. The display is still good, don’t get me wrong and it does support a high refresh rate but it lacks the vibrancy of an AMOLED display.

Realme X3 SuperZoom is a well put together phone for the most part. You get powerful hardware and palatable software packed in a trendy yet modest design. On the camera front, you have got a variety to play with, thanks to the rear quad-optics, the selfie duo, and a decent app. It all serves well on paper. In my experience, that SuperZoom feature is not super impressive but is fun and good to have at the said price point.

A promising new mid-range flagship device

The entry-level Realme X3 is a great deal for consumers looking for an affordable flagship smartphone with a high-end processor, higher refresh rate display and solid camera specifications. The IPS LCD panels seem to be the only pain point in the overall good package.

Shooting for the stars

from MobileTechTalk

The Realme X3 SuperZoom is a weird one for me. It’s not a bad phone. The 120Hz screen is nice. The Snapdragon 855+ is blazing fast. 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is a great combination and the cameras are pretty great too. However, at £469, it has some close competition, and not just from others.

The Realme X3 SuperZoom is great in some ways, but not in the ways that you would expect. If you're looking for a camera smartphone that does not cost more than €500, I would not recommend picking this one up.
