The iPad Pro 12.9 doesn’t exactly stray from its partner the iPad Pro 11. In fact, the only real difference between the two is screen size.
Apple even adjusted the resolution on the iPad Pro 12.9 so no clarity is lost with the larger screen.
Otherwise, they both have the same powerful specs under the hood.
Some reviewers stated the only argument for buying the larger iPad Pro 12.9 is the screen real estate. This makes it easier to open more screens at once next to each other. There were also reviewers that felt like the keyboard accessory was more suited to use with the larger screen.
However, there were also arguments about the portability of the iPad Pro 12.9. It is a fairly big piece of tech.

What the Critics Are Saying...

- Mark Spoonauer, Tom's GuideThe iPad Pro 2020 (12.9 inch) is the best tablet you can buy, with blazing speed, long battery life, improved cameras and trackpad support. But it’s not a great laptop replacement (yet).

- Aabhas Sharma, Gadgets NowThe iPad Pro is like one of those Swiss knives -- terribly expensive one -- that can perform a multitude of tasks with consummate ease. - Jonas Ekelund, L@B techreviewsWe are disappointed that the news is so moderate, compared to the massive upgrade the previous model change offered us. But the iPad Pro is still the world’s best tablet. No one else has the same performance, amazing display, excellent sound and intuitive software. And with the Magic Keyboard and it...

- Jonathan Bray, Expert ReviewsWhile the iPad Pro remains the best serious alternative to a Windows Laptop or a MacBook Pro – especially with the Magic Keyboard in tow – the new features introduced this year aren’t enough, in my opinion, to justify an upgrade.

- Jon Honeyball, IT ProIs it worth so much more than an iPad, or a competitor running Android? Absolutely yes, but only if you’re prepared to explore the professional aspects. Using the iPad Pro to mostly read on the train, or simply to browse Facebook, is a criminal waste of its capabilities. For once, Apple is justified...
