Similar to the Doro PhoneEasy 520X, the Alcatel 20.00 caters to the older crowd looking for a basic, easy-to-use device. It follows a pretty candy bar design and comes equipped with a 2.4-inch screen that has a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Experts mention that text on the screen is quite large, making it very easy to read.
Below the screen is a keypad with larger-than-average buttons. Band Width Blog says, "The large buttons feel great, very well built and are extremely tactile…" Just in case some users still cannot see the large buttons, Alcatel also added a voice-on-touch feature that speaks the number that was touched. Reviewers were pleased with the sound quality and accuracy of the feature. Aside from the keypad buttons, the phone also comes equipped with a one-touch SOS button on the back. This feature allows users to program in a specific contact in case of emergencies.
As a basic phone, the most important aspect is its sound quality, and the Alcatel 20.00 doesn't disappoint. Critics note that both the front and rear speakers were loud and very clear and they had no problems hearing people on the other end of a call. Like-wise sound quality was also good on the receiving end as well.
Aside from these features, it comes with 2MB of internal memory, enough to save up to 200 contacts and 100 SMS, an expandable memory port, a 1000mAh battery and a charging dock.
Critics recommend this device for older people or those looking for a minimalistic phone experience. 91mobiles says, "The Alcatael One Touch 2000 is a solid budget phone…"
