What the Critics Are Saying...

Ausdroid

It’s not the quickest phone I’ve used recently, but the performance consistent and reliable. Most users aren’t going to see any issue at all with the device and its responsiveness, 6GB of RAM has become the norm and it provides a far more usable device and better experience overall.

- Phil Tann, Ausdroid
Fone Arena

Xiaomi is known for offering value-for-money (VFM) devices like the Redmi Note series. Of course, the K20 offers the same premium glass body and AMOLED HDR display as the K20 Pro, but you can say this is a value-for-money phone.

- Srivatsan Sridhar, Fone Arena
Android Authority

The Redmi K20 brings all the goodies from the Redmi K20 Pro to an even more appealing price point. Between the aggressive design, battery life and capable cameras, there is a lot to like here.

- Dhruv Bhutani, Android Authority
News18

The great design, fantastic display, slick performance and very capable cameras really do tick off the typical checklist that most users may have. The thing is, I felt the Redmi K20 truly feels more expensive than it actually is. And that is priceless.

Gizbot

The Redmi K20 not only performs well, but it also looks quite appealing. This is a highly recommended smartphone in the mid-range segment if you want a fast all-rounder, captures good images, and is suitable for high-resolution videos and gaming.

Offers great value at its price

For the Redmi K20, Xiaomi hasn't compromised in any departments, whether it is design, display, performance, software, or battery. The only area I believe the Redmi K20 could have been slightly better is the camera performance, particularly selfie camera performance. Overall the Redmi K20 is a sweet deal.

The eye-catching rear panel is beautiful, the screen is colorful and bright, the camera takes photos you’ll want to share, and the battery life is really excellent, but the software is frustrating and not as good as other devices on sale for similar money, including the Google Pixel 3a and the Motorola One Vision. Accept the difficulty it will take to get one and the software’s little niggles, and the Mi 9T is yet another hugely capable mid-range phone from Xiaomi.
