Capitalizing on the “Go Green” movement, the Samsung Restore M570 attempts to do its part to improve the environment via 84% recyclable components, 100% recyclable packaging, which is printed with soy ink, an online-only user manual, energy-efficient charger, yadda, yadda, yadda. Symbolic more than impactful, such efforts nonetheless appeal to a large segment of the market.
But how’s the phone? The Samsung Restore features a side-sliding, full QWERTY keyboard, Stereo Bluetooth, 2MP camera with video record, expandable memory via microSD and an assortment of basic applications that help to round out this eco-frenzied phone.
Users will enjoy the spacious, 2.6 inch 240 x 320 pixel resolution display, which is easy on the eyes and large enough to compete with other phones in its category.
Additional features include a music player, 2.5mm jack, email capability, GPS and a variety of voice-activated commands.
The Samsung Restore is a decent phone that holds a tenuous position in a pregnant portion of a popular phone category, but a worthy contender nonetheless. Unless you’re allergic to soy ink.
