Why won't Kyocera Rise work?

I was told to take the wrapping off the battery by a tech person at Virgin Mobile - was that right or wrong?

not sure why my new phone isn't working?

That's odd. I also don't see how unwrapping the battery will help. The best thing to do is take it back to the store where you bought it and have it checked.

This is my first fancy phone and it is brand new. If the technician said to take the paper off the battery and just have it be only metal, then why is there a uTube showing one of same kind with guy saying NOT to take off the paper. I tried to explain to the tech that there was writing on the paper, so wouldn't it make sense to keep it on, but she insisted I needed to take the paper wrapped with sticky glue around the battery off. I wonder who is right? Someone who knows, please tell me - does it matter or not - paper on battery on or off?

you didn't really answer my question. does it matter if the battery is wrapped or not? if it doesn't matter, then hope my cell phone does better than it does now.

How would unwrapping the battery help? I never heard of that. If your phone is broken, the best thing to do is to get it repaired. Ask Virgin Mobile how you can send your phone to Kyocera for repair.
