this is now happening to me too... except I cannot locate "camera" under my Apps. I just took it to the Verizon store for some assistance and am wondering if they accidentally deleted it. Is this possible?
Go to Settings > Apps > Camera. Touch Force stop > touch Clear cache > touch Clear data (Caution: Any data saved in this app will be erased). After that, restart your tablet but don't access your camera yet, try it 5-10 mins after you restarted the tablet.
