As a standalone speaker, say for a bedroom or a kitchen, the Uxbridge Voice is a great option with a plethora of streaming options on offer. It looks the part (almost) and the sound quality is good at moderate levels. Alexa is on board and works well enough, and the setup is a breeze. Where it falls down is that you're paying a premium for features where it doesn't really excel. We wouldn't recommend it for any serious multi-room action and it's definitely not as high quality, in terms of audio, as similarly priced rivals such as the Sonos One - despite having those additional EQ options.

This is a decent effort from Marshall, but the Uxbridge Voice falls too short on audio quality to be able to wholeheartedly recommend it. It’s a long way short of the best multi-room speakers in terms of features, too. Unless you’re already invested in Marshall’s other multi-room speakers or looking for a gift for the roadie in your life, then you’ll find better and more room-filling wireless speakers for the price.

A small speaker with big ambitions

from TrustedReviews

The Uxbridge Voice achieves Marshall's goal of delivering big sound from a compact form, but it's outperformed at this price for sound. Features are good, as is connectivity, and if you're waist-deep in the Alexa ecosystem then the Uxbridge is a more fun and appealing alternative to Amazon’s utilitarian range of Echo speakers.
