The Echo Studio brings high-quality, room-filling sound to the Alexa smart ecosystem. Despite the gimmicky 3D audio capabilities, the affordable price redeems the Echo Studio, making it one of the better high-end smart speakers around.

If you’re after the best first-party Alexa smart speaker, you can’t go past the Echo Studio. It sounds the best, it’s the most capable when it comes to integrating with other tech in your home and it’s an impressive showcase for just how far Amazon’s forays into hardware have come.

If your home is already part of the Amazon Alexa speaker ecosystem but you were missing a speaker that actually sounded good when playing music, than the Echo Studio is an obvious and easy recommendation to make.

The best smart speaker Amazon has ever made delivers on its promise, combining with Amazon Music to offer a new way to listen. Add in best-in-class bass and solid sound across the board, and the Echo Studio is one of the most enticing new smart speakers on the market.

Throw in that Zigbee radio and Alexa, and you've got the most impressive Echo speaker yet.
Amazon's new $200 Echo Studio is not a typical smart speaker, but after disabling the sound-distorting 3D upmixing, it's one of the best products in its category, especially if you're a fan of Alexa.

At the moment, I have to say the Echo Studio is the best that Amazon has to offer. If you are spending on a smart speaker it is best that it is one that sounds the best. Yes, there are options from Bose and others that sound really good, but the Alexa integration is still best on Amazon devices....More

Amazon's eagerness to push sound quality and its adoption of hi-res audio has to be a good thing, and the Echo Studio is a capable contender in the crowded smart speaker market. It sounds big, goes loud and there's a good level of detail and dynamics. We're not convinced entirely by the way it handles bass, and we wouldn't exactly call it audiophile quality, but for the money, the Echo Studio has a lot going for it.
Amazon’s priciest Echo speaker is a beast. It’s big, versatile and sounds fantastic. To get the most out of it, though, you’ll want to consider a high-res streaming plan like Amazon Music HD. The 3D audio options are a bit limited for now, but even regular Spotify sounds great on this thing...More

The 3D audio options are a bit limited for now, but even regular Spotify sounds great on this thing. It’s by far the best-sounding Echo yet, and probably will be for the foreseeable future.
The Amazon Echo Studio is an impressive offering - a smart-speaker and Dolby Atmos immersive sound home cinema unit, all in one tidy package. Some of its experiments with upmixing stereo sources can sound a bit confused, but it's otherwise a very powerful, feature-rich smart speaker – especially considering the price.
