With a name like Perfect Privacy, you’d expect the service to offer, well perfect privacy. Does it live up to its name? Let’s see what the experts think.
The company offers several payment options with terms ranging from month-to-month to up to two years. As with other services, the longer you subscribe for, the cheaper your overall costs. With that said, even when paying for the two-year subscription, the “monthly” cost is still more expensive than many other comparable VPNs, making Perfect Privacy one of the most expensive options on the market.
Perfect Privacy offers a client for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android. If you want to get the Android app, you won’t find it on the Play Store as Google’s app requirements would infringe on user privacy. Instead, you will need to download the APK file from the Perfect Privacy website.
Once you start up the client, it presents you with a list of servers and locations. The list includes an available bandwidth indicator in megabits and the ability to ping servers to test response times.
While straightforward PC World calls the interface “dated and utilitarian. The long list, the gray background, the small text, and the larger buttons at the bottom of the window all add up to a very old look...” Still, if you don’t mind a less attractive interface, it’s usable.
It also allows for some customization in terms of what protocol to use, whether to start automatically and, for more advanced users, the ability to hop between several servers.
With Perfect Privacy, you receive an unlimited amount of simultaneous connections. So if you’re looking to keep all of your devices -- or the whole family -- connected and protected, this VPN is a good pick.
As noted above, Perfect Privacy allows users to create a multi-hop (up to 4) cascade of servers, further protecting your privacy. While not the only service to offer multi-hop, it is one of the few that can do it easily. Most only offer two servers.
NeuroRouting, which is similar to the Tor network, activates server-side and routes all traffic through several hops in the VPN network. In addition, you also receive TrackStop which acts as an ad, tracking, and malware blocker.
From sign up, Perfect Privacy tries to keep your identity anonymous. It never asks for your real name. Instead, you’ll use a user name and email address. While it accepts payment via credit card, you can also pay via PayPal, Bitcoin, or cash.
The company location is a bit of a mystery. The main company (Vectura Datamanagement Limited Company) is based in Switzerland -- a privacy-friendly jurisdiction. The technical implementation portion of the company is based in Panama under the name Webinvest International SA -- another solid jurisdiction for privacy.
And speaking of privacy, Perfect Privacy touts they do not log browser or login activity. They do, however, track total usage ratio of their servers so you can see the bandwidth of each server.
Most reviewers were happy with server speeds. There are only 37 servers in 23 countries with the fastest servers were located in the US, Europe, and Australia. Compared to other VPNs the selection is small, but experts had no issues with speed or connection.
While you won’t get 24/7 live chat, Perfect Privacy multiple channels for support including:
Email received the fastest response times for most reviewers with responses coming in within a few hours.

Overall, Perfect Privacy offers some excellent features -- such as unlimited connections, multi-hopping between up to four servers, and good performance. But it comes with a higher price tag than many competing services. If you’re okay with paying more for better anonymity, then Perfect Privacy might be a good option.
UK VPN notes, "Perfect Privacy is a reliable VPN service that puts security and privacy as their main priority. The only problem with this solid VPN service is that it’s too expensive."
VPN Ranks calls it "a service that comes with some ultra-impressive features that may appeal to knowledgeable VPN consumers."
- Tim Mocan, SafetyDetectivesPerfect Privacy has strong security features, maintains good speeds on nearby servers, works well in restrictive countries, and is good for torrenting, but I still think there are better VPNs out there. In addition to industry-standard security features like 256-bit AES encryption, a no-logs policy,...
- Alexandra S, VPNTesterPerfect-Privacy has been offered for more than 10 years, with special emphasis on secrecy and preservation of the user’s identity. Unparalleled high standards are set for security and protection against tracking, surveillance and exploration. The service belongs to the premium providers and is also...
- VPNoverviewPerfect Privacy VPN is easy to install, but its clients are not exactly beginner-friendly. Moreover, the VPN operates a modest server network with subpar speeds by today’s standards. It feels like the team behind it spent a lot of time developing certain aspects of their VPN while letting important...
- Eric Florence, SecurityTechPerfect Privacy does a fine job of providing secure and private internet access. The VPN works well, and includes innovative technologies like NeuroRouting and TrackStop. I also think it could be better suited than most VPN services if you are going to install the VPN on a router. Even so, I find it...
- Shahbaz Hassan, VpnWiredWe can only say that pricing puts to shame most premium services in terms of what it offers. Consequently, the value for money is long gone, and we can’t recommend this VPN. That doesn’t mean it won’t find an audience. An ideal customer is someone who isn’t on a budget and values their zero-logging...
