For large spaces or loud parties

from The Wirecutter

The Woburn II plays much louder and produces more bass than the smaller tabletop speakers we tested, but it costs a lot more.

Delivers rich, powerful audio befitting its size and price

While we like Marshall's Stanmore II Bluetooth and Acton II Bluetooth, we love the Woburn II Bluetooth. Yes, it's the most expensive of the bunch, but I'd argue it isn't too expensive for the sound quality it delivers—a case I'm less inclined to make for its more affordable, but less overwhelmingly awesome, siblings. It looks the same, uses the same app, has the same basic features, but that extra woofer brings the magic, making this a fantastic all-in-one wireless speaker.

I was instantly impressed with the sound quality of the Marshall Woburn II speaker. I love that Marshall has included several options for adjusting your listening experience — bass/treble knobs on the speaker and the customizable equalizer in the app — so you always get the sound you want. The speaker won’t be for everyone as it’s quite large, but if you are looking for an awesome room-size speaker, I wouldn’t hesitate to invest in the Marshall Woburn II.

The Marshall Woburn II is great at precisely the things you’d expect. It’s happy playing loud and its full, powerful sound pairs well with music featuring “real” instruments that can make its slightly undisciplined bass appear part of the package. It also has plenty of rocker charm thanks to a pitch-perfect design tie-in with Marshall amps. However, it does seem quite expensive for what is a simple Bluetooth speaker, and it’s outperformed by the best at the price.

Modern sound, retro look

from TechCrunch

The Woburn II is a fantastic speaker with a timeless look. At $499 it’s pricy but produces sound above its price-point rivals. I expect the same performance out of updated Action II and Stanmore II speakers. These speakers are worthy of the Marshall name.

A beast of a speaker, with room shaking sound and an authentic rocking design

from TechRadar

With a design that makes full use of the brand's iconic aesthetic, and a power and clarity that other Bluetooth speakers would be hard-pressed to meet, the Marshall Woburn II is a great buy, so long as you value volume and style over smart connectivity options.
