Waterproof, powerful-sounding portable Bluetooth speaker

from PC Magazine

The Charge 4 sounds excellent for a mono speaker at this price. Its solid build is waterproof and, for all of its output, not terribly big.

Sounds reasonably good and isn't absurdly heavy

from TechGearLab

If you need a loud speaker that can last all night and won't skip a beat if it gets spilled on or dropped in the dirt, the JBL Charge 4 fits the bill. Just don't expect absolute top-tier sound, nor a particularly portable design.

Worth the money, kind of

If you want to futureproof yourself and get the new JBL Connect+, then this is the way to go for sure. Otherwise, there isn't much difference between this and the Charge 3 before it (though USB-C charging is definitely nice).

Minor updates to an already excellent speaker

from TechRadar

The JBL Charge 4 only offers minor updates to the previous generation but it remains an excellent value in wireless speakers. The Charge 4 can pump out gobs of bass that doesn’t overwhelm, lasts forever, and can top up your phone in pinch. If the bulky size of the Charge 4 doesn’t bother you, it should be at the top your shopping list.

What Hi-Fi

A fun and bubbly Bluetooth speaker with a serious sound

JBL has fine-tuned the sound to please even pickier ears and battery capacity has increased. We can’t reasonably ask for any more at this price.

A great speaker

Sure, you shouldn’t expect too much of an improvement over the Charge 3, since you’ll get similar sound quality, the same IPX7 build, and the same battery life. But, considering the Charge 3 was already a great speaker, then by default so is the Charge 4. If you already have a Charge 3, there isn’t any reason to rush out and pick up this newer model, but if this is going to be your first Bluetooth speaker, then you won’t be disappointed, as the Charge 4 is still one of the best around.

Lifewire

Powerful, clear sound to take wherever you need it

from Lifewire

This Bluetooth speaker over-delivers on all its features. It produces sound that will satisfy audiophiles, has great extra features (like the ability to charge devices via USB), and has a battery that will last all day. All of this gives it great value for the price.

I have tried most – Ultimate Ears, Altec Lansing, Braven, Marshal, Bose, Sony etc. This has the edge in low-end bass and battery life. If you want stereo, then the JBL Link is hard to beat. Mono for parties – stereo for serious listening and then you need good L/R separation, so two speakers are best.

Ideal speakers to use for get togethers

JBL’s Charge series just gets better with every new release. With the Charge 4, we’ve seen that its audio quality is has highly improved compared to the previously released Charge 3. It delivered cleaner, clearer and more refined sounds with mids and treble that sounded well.

Portable Speaker with plenty of power at its sleeves

from Gadgetbyte

If you have got the money, and want a portable speaker for pool parties or house get-togethers, then, this can be a great option. Plus, the battery seems to last like forever. The only problem lies with the price here. For me, it just doesn’t provide that value for money we all look for.
