TechHive

Floatable, sustainable sonics

from TechHive

We love that the No Bounds XL is made, at least partially, of recycled materials and that you can toss it in the pool and splash about without worrying (don't dive with it). Sadly, the sound isn't particularly good, a common issue with waterproofed speakers. Buy for fun, but not for sound.

Eco-friendly Bluetooth speaker with average audio performance

from PC Magazine

The No Bounds XL pumps out serviceable audio, and if your main priority is being able to take it on the go and not worry about dirt, dust, or water damaging it, it's worth considering. Add in the eco-conscious, attractive design, and there's more to like about it—just not if audio itself is your top priority.

The strong points for the House of Marley No Bounds XL are the IP67 waterproofing, power bank and dual speaker pairing option. The overall audio quality is not particularly great for the price however. If you want a large sports Bluetooth speaker capable of pumping tunes at high volume while rolling with the punches of messy outdoors activities, then this is your ticket. Those looking for audiophile level audio will probably want to look elsewhere though.

Sound Guys

In a nutshell, it's a loud, floating, waterproof speaker

from Sound Guys

While it isn't going to blow any other speakers out of the water, the No Bounds XL is a solid speaker that most will be happy to have. If you can live with a sub-par battery life at least.
