What the Critics Are Saying...

WizCase

Although it doesn’t have the reach many other providers offer, it earns a perfect score for encryption, client design, speed, and privacy. AES256 is the standard you can expect, along with OpenVPN support. The compact network is lightning-fast, and while US Netflix is currently off-limits, you can s...

This is a basic VPN which still has not yet firmly established itself in the market. It does offer very robust encryption, the ability to bypass internet censorship and is torrent-friendly, but the lack of Netflix access is going to be a big turn off for potential users whose main motivation is acce...

DefenVPN is the new player in town. It has taken a beating because of its earlier poor offering. But now it has tried to come back with a bang. It is still rapidly growing. And DefenVPN is doing that by offering some advanced features along with new and shiny dedicated apps. All of this is great, bu...

Top10VPN

On the surface, DefenceVPN seems to do the basics of privacy and security very well but DNS leaks on the Windows app take away from its robust privacy policy, VPN kill switch, and strong encryption. Speeds are underwhelming, and the server network is tiny. If you live outside Europe or North America...

DefenceVPN seemed cheap, until we looked at its features, realized how few and how basic they are, and how the company hasn't even implemented these as well as we would expect. There are way too many issues here to recommend the service right now, and you'll be much better off elsewhere.

Although it doesn’t have the reach many other providers offer, it earns a perfect score for encryption, client design, speed, and privacy. AES256 is the standard you can expect, along with OpenVPN support. The compact network is lightning-fast, and while US Netflix is currently off-limits, you can stream a lot of other content. P2P is also allowed on Bulgarian servers. As for features, you’ll find plenty. DefenceVPN runs double encryption on several servers, and leaking concerns are alleviated thanks to the kill switch and extra DNS reinforcement.

This is a basic VPN which still has not yet firmly established itself in the market. It does offer very robust encryption, the ability to bypass internet censorship and is torrent-friendly, but the lack of Netflix access is going to be a big turn off for potential users whose main motivation is accessing Netflix.

DefenVPN is the new player in town. It has taken a beating because of its earlier poor offering. But now it has tried to come back with a bang. It is still rapidly growing. And DefenVPN is doing that by offering some advanced features along with new and shiny dedicated apps. All of this is great, but it is changing its pricing packages along with offered features too rapidly we think. And this doesn't speak well of the VPN company's long-term goals.

The service works well

from ProPrivacy

DefenceVPN works well. The service is changing rapidly, so it might be a little better by the time you get to try it out. Take advantage of the refund period to make sure that it provides all of the services that you need from a VPN.

The speeds of the service are generally good, in spite of the small network of servers. The security is already very strong but they are looking to add more protocols and additional features to protect your data.
