This is what Wear OS should be

Not only do I enjoy the software, but I love the hardware. This is a sexy smartwatch, with a minimal aluminum chassis and a stunning curved glass Super AMOLED display. My two main issues are that the app selection isn't quite as wide as that of Wear OS, and that Samsung Pay doesn't support Magnetic Stripe Terminal. I think that the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 is a solid buy. If you're looking for a smartwatch to use with an Android phone, this is the one to get.

ZDNet

The best smartwatch for Android users, maybe for iPhone users too

from ZDNet

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 did not have all of the custom data options as the dedicated GPS watches, but it tracked GPS and heart rate well. It is good for the casual athlete who wants a great smartwatch and I may keep wearing it while using my GPS sports watches just for workouts.

Gadget Guy

The best ‘Android ecosystem’ smartwatch

from Gadget Guy

Probably the best ‘Android ecosystem’ smartwatch and even better with a Galaxy phone. Premium hardware, great minimalist looks, and Samsung Health are ideal for most. Don’t be surprised if Samsung Health is the main reason to buy. I say that after trying Huawei and other brands and their health apps simply don’t stack up.

Offers a lot of functionality

from NDTV

Since the Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G is good with fitness tracking, it is an easy watch to recommend. Android users will be happy with what the Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G offers for the price, as there aren't a lot of Wear OS options on the market.

BGR

Sleek, fitness focused, always connected

from BGR

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G just falls short from being a complete smartwatch for Android users. It brings in key upgrades over the predecessor. 4G connectivity, better heart rate monitoring and fitness tracking, and improved battery life are some of the pros. Performance is absolutely no issue.

India Today

Premium price for premium features and design

from India Today

The price is justified by Samsung brings to the table not just the promise of standalone 4G VoLTE connectivity but also support for third-party apps and a ton of fitness features married to a rather decent battery that helps the smartwatch last longer on a single charge than most of its competitors.

Decent fitness-tracking features

If you’re looking for a round smartwatch that does fitness and core smartwatch features well in equal measures, the second-gen Active is one smartwatch worth checking out.

It looks great, functions even better, and it's not terribly expensive. It's also not reliant on a Samsung phone which is great for anyone who likes this watch but prefers a phone from a different brand. Unless you specifically want something that runs on Wear OS or a different wearable operating system, don't count this one out. There's a lot to love here.

The best smartwatch out there for those who use an Android phone

from TrustedReviews

If you have an Android phone and want the best smartwatch going, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 is it. Great design, acceptable battery life, solid fitness features and outstanding performance make it the best all-round wearable that Samsung has made – and that makes it better than any Wear OS watch currently available.
