All of which leaves me in two minds about recommending the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active. For serious runners and cyclists, it doesn’t feel like the right choice: you’re better served by the superior battery life and data field customisation options of Garmin and Polar devices. On the other hand, it’s a great-looking and feature-packed wearable that’s fine for casually keeping an eye on your fitness, especially if you’re already tied into the Samsung ecosystem.

A decent all-rounder

from NDTV

The Galaxy Watch Active tracks fitness fairly well but if you are an athlete and want something even better, you can consider options from TomTom and Garmin. The Galaxy Watch Active is a decent all-rounder and will do just fine for most people.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active offers a host of features like ability to track 39 activities, heart rate measurement, colourful display and premium design. When compared to the flagship Galaxy Watch, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active has a compact and light design that sits easily on your wrist without hurting. Still, for someone who needs a good smartwatch to track their fitness, this is a good alternative in the world of Fitbit and Apple Watch.
