At $200 CAD, the same price as the Charge 3, the Versa Lite is a great option for those who were interested in the Versa and Ionic but felt they were still a bit too expensive for the features offered.

The Fitbit Versa Lite comes with a bunch of different features, although not as many as the Fitbit Versa, which seems obvious when stated like that. The Versa Lite is an ideal replacement for someone who is looking to replace their analog watch with a smartwatch while getting a taste of what a fitness tracker could do for them. But it does not come with all the tricks in the book for a price that should have most if not all.
The Fitbit Versa Lite offers the best of what Versa does at a lower cost. It tracks your sleeping cycle, it is waterproof, it offers guided breathing sessions and you can even answer calls using the Versa Lite. In short, it has the makings of a perfect smartwatch. Sure, there are bargains to be made. Absence of an altimeter, no on-board GPS, and absence of automatic exercise detection system are some trade-offs that come with the price but those are not sacrifices that cannot be overlooked, especially at this price point and with a design as gorgeous as this one.

In the end the Fitbit Versa Lite Edition is a decent smartwatch and a decent fitness tracker — decent enough for me. It did just about everything I wanted it to and for a majority of people out there it will most certainly be enough. For them I think they should have a look at the Versa Lite and weigh up that $50 difference in value before determining which Fitbit Versa variation to buy — both a good smartwatches.
With a starting price of $160 and nearly all of the same features, the Versa Lite is a perfect entry-level smartwatch for people who aren’t looking to pay hundreds of dollars for an Apple Watch but still want something that’s versatile enough to wear while working or working out.

The Fitbit Versa Lite Edition is a bridge product that is essentially a fitness tracker in a smartwatch body. If you want to track basic health metrics but don’t need it all, then it’s a good, cheaper compromise compared to the regular Versa. If you want the full smartwatch feature set then Fitbit sells the regular Versa or the Ionic. The Versa Lite is great on paper but at the time of writing you can find the normal Versa for basically the same price online.

Almost all of the things the Versa Lite cannot do—track floors climbed, count swim laps, store music, and make NFC payments—are optional for most users. But if you can live without those features, spending $160 on the Versa Lite is a worthwhile decision. It will appeal to those who want to stick to a strict budget, and that's something that not many other smartwatches do.
The Versa Lite nails it with an affordable price tag and a feature set that is robust enough for everyone except the hard-core athlete.
