ZTE? Not Zitti, ZTE. Many of you may not have heard of this company, but they do make phones and are trying to wedge their product line into the highly competitive consumer cell phone industry.
The ZTE C78 is an attractive CDMA candy bar phone that provides basic users with a solid feature set that includes Bluetooth, built-in USB connector, speakerphone, customizable graphics, ring tones and supports MP3 real-music ringtones, along with a basic, no frills camera, alarm, calculator, calendar, etc.
With the C78 you can call, text, MMS, enter events into a calendar, even use the WAP browser to access the internet (though only in a marginal way). The C78 offers a 2” LCD 176 x 220 pixel display, a talk time of 3.5 hours and standby time of up to 180 hours.
There isn’t any breakthrough technology at work here, and this manner of candy bar phone has been done many times. But it is still a good phone, with a clear button layout and decent display, and there are many people who are looking for simple and good.
