Pro: compact, durable Con: battery life, availability of replacement battery Just wanted a simple phone and this is what caught my eye. Easy to use, lights-up well at night, easy to read screen, and features. Replacement battery is NOT carried in any phone store (sucks) and you are forced to go on line to obtain one. Like the extendable antenna which DOES make a difference in marginal service areas (are you listening SPRINT?). Less

A good kids cell phone from Sanyo for Sprint families.

from eBay
A nice cell phone from Sanyo for Sprint families. Simple to use parental cotrols and has many of the bells and whistles both teens and pre-teens like. Has no camera so there is no hassle with restrictions most schools have that allow thier students to have a phone on campus. A good starter cell phone for her/his first phone.

Love this phone

from eBay
It gets great range. I can us it anywhere. My mom uses it the most. She finds everything easy to navigate. She doesn't like all the new cell phones, but she like this one.

I have the phone also and was reading the review from the other person and he thought this was the phone to buy but he put a 3 of 5 so I am putting a 4 of 5 and raising his to a 4 also because from the way he axplained it , that is what he meant to put any way.

A value beyond it's price.

It's the most functional cell phone that I've had to date. I use it to make and receive calls, so I rarely text or surf, but you can with ease if you so choose to. I've dropped the thing a ton of times, it's black so you can't really even see any marks on it. It has great hands-free speaker phone and is great at picking up weak signals. It's worth ever penny I spent,,,,at the Sprint store they wanted three times what I paid for a new on E-bay. I've had it for months now and it's perfect. Less

this sanyo phone is okay if all yoour going to do is talk on it but then still, it isn't that great. the battery life is really bad. i've talked on it for less than an hour and with charged it overnight and it ran out immediately. also it roams when i am inside my house and you get a lot of dropped calls even when your outside! i don't mean to be mean i guess it's okay for like a 5th grader or someone with a cell that way if it breaks its not hat big of a deal. i've had to replace mine 3 times and once i put it on the charger and it never turned back on. i would reocommend this to the younger audience because if it breaks no big deal but other than that u shouldn't buy it Less

Great Phone

from eBay
A pretty phone, with not too many features, but still enough - such as web access. Its a flip phone, with a very good speaker phone. Lifespan of battery is pretty good and well maintained. Definately a phone worth the bucks.

The Sanyo SCP 2400 (by Sprint) has its ups and downs. Good Points: *Small, sleek design appeals to most people *Large screen easy to read *Long lasting battery *Comes in 5 cool colors Not-so-good Points: *After only one week of having this phone, it took a small tumble and hit the ground (in its case) and the screen went blank. Phone worked, but screen did not. Sprint replaced my phone. *Only phone I know of to completely "freeze up" (where nothing responds). Had to remove battery to reset phone. I had an older Sanyo phone before this phone, and my old phone never had one problem, so that is why I chose this new Sanyo phone. In comparison, the SCP 2400 almost has as strong signal strength as my old Sanyo (which always had good signal strength, and I live in a place where signal strength can be hard to find *Central Florida, Ocala area*). Overall, it is not a bad phone at all. Battery life is awesome, it has a lot of useful features (1 poker game loaded, calculator, calender, texting, Sprint VCS internet, etc.) and it looks really cool. Would I recommend this phone to other people? Yes Less
