The Samsung Intensity 2 is a CDMA horizontal slider with a low-to-mid-tier feature set. As this phone competes directly with the better equipped LG Ev3, We’ll have to give the round to LG.
That’s not to say the Intensity 2 isn’t a good phone. It offers dual screens, with the main display measuring 2.2 inches and offering 240 x 320 pixel resolution, a competent full QWERTY keyboard, a basic 1.3MP camera, MP3 player, stereo Bluetooth, speakerphone and full suite of entry-level features. With the Intensity 2, you can send and receive email, text (threaded), MMS and Instant Messaging.
As with many sliders, there is always the risk that users will find that tapping the top row of keys on the QWERTY keyboard to be somewhat challenging, as one’s fingers can butt up against the lower half of the phone.
Overall, the Samsung Intensity 2 is a decent phone with a modest feature set, and should appeal to young texters. Offering a talk time of up to five hours and a stand by time of up to 300 hours, it has enough juice to keep up with those young fingers.
