The successor to the Samsung A900, the Samsung SCH-U900 Flipshot definitely puts a focus on photos. Boasting a 3.0MP camera with flash, 11x digital zoom and auto-focus, combined with a swiveling display that allows you to handle the device as you would a digicam, the U900 is for folks who want to take pictures and shoot video, oh, and also make calls.
The Flipshot’s dramatically different form factor is definitely functional, not flashy. It really makes taking pictures fun and the large, 240x320 QVGA display is one of the best screens available. A dual-band CDMA, the Flipshot measures a modest 95.5x46.5x18.5mm and weighs only 3.9 ounces. The feature set includes a video player, MP3 player, stereo Bluetooth, and a voice function set that includes voice dialing, commands, recording and speakerphone.
Rounding out the features are GPS, an alarm clock, calendar, calculator, stopwatch, notepad and a world clock. Has anyone ever used the world clock?
Inside you’ll find a two-toned keypad with the navigation array set above and apart in silver.
Talk time is rated at 4 hours and standby time at 350 hours. The Flipshot uses BREW and Java software.
If you want to take plenty of pictures and video along with making calls, take a look at the Samsung Flipshot.
