The Samsung A706 camera phone turns out to be a stylish and powerful handset. It is a multi-media device, which allows the users to communicate by video calling while also providing real-time access to their favorite TV programs. Users will enjoy the benefits of the video on demand package included with this phone as Rogers has made a deal with YouTube for them to supply the top 50 videos each week.
You can also access radio-on-demand including live XM Satellite radio. With Bluetooth technology, users can synchronize to other Bluetooth devices to upload or transfer files and the compatibility with Stereo Bluetooth provides for optimal sound quality.
The most exciting feature of this camera phone is its video-phoning capability. To use this feature a caller must first press the video-call button and then the recipient can either accept or reject the call. The image of the caller is displayed to help the recipient to make the decision. If the recipient chooses not to accept the call, there is an option to switch to a voice call. The video-phoning function uses the lens of the video camera mounted on the inside of the phone. There is, additionally another lens, mounted on the other side of the phone, so a caller can also show what they are seeing, and switch between the two. Unfortunately, the video-phoning ability is only available at the moment to a limited area in Southern Ontario so anyone outside of this area will have to wait.
The Samsung A706 undeniably takes the mobile experience to the next level as it provides users with fast and seamless communication. If you are looking for more functionality than the typical cell phone can deliver, you should take a closer look at the A706.
