Even superstar cell phone makers need “simple” once in a while. There are, after all, people who remain clearly unimpressed with TouchFlo UI’s, haptic feedback buttons and flat- panel –screen- quality resolution. They want, ahem!, a phone that works. Power to the practical!
LG, which has spent a tremendous amount of time developing exclusive products for Verizon Wireless, has produced a quality phone for Sprint. ‘Bout time, eh?
The LG LX400 is a reliable, well built entry-level phone with good call quality and feel. The feature set includes GPS, Push-to-Talk, Bluetooth and noise-reduction technology.
Casual cell phone users will appreciate voice command functions such as dialing, recording, speaker phone and Push-to-talk, along with a full-featured phonebook that allows for up to 500 entries, each with multiple entry fields. There is also an alarm, calendar, calculator, notepad and the insanely out-of-place world clock. Hey, it’s there, so I’ll take it. Maybe I’ll decide to call my buddy Shinicki Tanaka in Japan, but not too early.
The main display produces 262 x 144 pixel resolution and measures 1.77 inches, which is large enough to get the job done but slightly smaller than others in its price range.
Bottom line, you’d be hard pressed to purchase a poor LG product, and even when it comes to “doing the basic phone”, LG gets it right. Check out the LX400 if you are looking for a solid and reliable phone.
