Why won't Samsung Galaxy Fame switch off?
can send texts & make phone calls but it wont switch off & alarm (when set) wont go off

Press and hold power key 'til the phone turns off. With regards to alarm, while on the alarm screen, press volume up, maybe the volume was just low.
