T3

Gets more colourful and cheaper

One thing we should make clear is that the Fitbit Zip will not instantly make you leaner and fitter, but what it will do - like the Ultra - is hopefully help you make that gradual change by being able to track the information so easily and understand the information with a analysis tool that doesn't feel daunting in any way.

An elegant combination of tiny, accurate electronics and a well thought-out data management interface

The Fitbit Zip Wireless joins a competitive and almost uniformly excellent field of products. It tracks steps and distance, records the quality of the user's sleep, and presents and stores this information in a handy, multi-platform fashion.

The Fitbit Zip is cheerful little device that will suit the neon-obsessed masses. Though some of the more advanced features of a fitness tracker are absent, the Fitbit Zip has all the essentials one would need to begin their quest for personal fitness.

Gizmodo

Remains an excellent entry-level fitness tracker

Whether you choose it or the Jawbone UP Move really depends on your preferences for the app and the design and the colour options, but suffice to say it'll perfectly handle the job of tracking your steps and gathering all that data into one place for you to interpret.

It's basic, but unless you really want sleep tracking or the stair-tracking features of Fitbit's other trackers, it's a bargain.

PCWorld

A great motivational tool and wireless syncing is effortless

from PCWorld

The FitBit Zip's tiny design, long-lasting battery and wireless synchronising capabilities make it a great "clip and forget" device that should keep you motivated. However, the non-backlit screen and the lack of an altimeter to count stairs climbed are downsides.

DC Rainmaker

Suite works well and isn’t buggy

In general, if I had to recommend just a single activity tracker out there today – it would be the FitBit Zip. It fulfills all the basics and is easy to use. I could give it to my 96 year old grandpa and he’d be able to use it just fine for tracking his walks (he walks far more than you’d think).
