These headphones hit all their targets: great sound quality, impressive noise-cancellation and good comfort (for those that like their design). It’s another five-star pair of chart-topping headphones from Bose.

The only thing holding them back from in-ear perfection is the high price point and the neckband design and controls placement not feeling as balanced as, say, the likes of the Sennheiser Momentum In-Ear Wireless.
Overall I think Bose was just slightly off the mark with the QuietControl 30’s. There are just enough cons to make you really question whether these are worth $299. On one hand, I do like the design and the StayHear+ tips have always fit my ear perfectly, but on the other hand I’ve had issues with skipping music even when the phone is within arms reach.
Aside from their inability to be used without battery power, there’s precious little to dislike about Bose’s QuietControl 30 headphones. Lightweight, comfortable, beautifully designed, and offering excellent sound, they deserve the consideration of anyone interested in a new set of ANC headphones.

On the one hand, they’re brilliant at cutting out background noise and they sound good. But boy do they come with a list of issues. They’re uncomfortable to wear around your neck, whether you’re walking, jogging or just sitting on the train. The cables get snagged too easily, battery life isn’t great.

If you want a pair of wireless in-ear headphones with great battery life and excellent noise cancellation, the Bose QC30s might be exactly what you’re looking for. It’s just unfortunate that they’re not the best-sounding headphones around.

So long as you don't expect the most powerful noise-canceling, the QuietControl 30 works really well as an everyday headphone. You can use it at the gym or for running.
