There’s a lot to like about the Garmin Vivosport. It’s discreet, comfortable and packed with heaps of features to help you track pretty much every aspect of your active lifestyle. Furthermore, it has excellent battery life, making it an excellent first GPS watch for casual runners and cyclists alike.

Alphr

A decent but fiddly tracker

from Alphr

You won’t be disappointed if you plump for the Garmin Vivosport, but if you see yourself actively interacting with the device regularly, rather than just glancing at the screen and having it record data for viewing elsewhere, then you might want to consider your options before putting any cash down.

Stuff

This GPS fitness tracker fits more into a small band than just about any other

The Garmin Vivosport looks like a basic fitness band, but it has the notifications of a smartwatch and the fitness tracking of a GPS runner’s watch. Garmin has crammed an awful lot into this little tracker, making it one of the very best options for those who want GPS but without an ultra-high price or wrist-bothering design.

TechRadar

A small band with a lot of tech

from TechRadar

The Garmin Vivosport doesn't have the style of a Fitbit or the high-tech vibe of a Samsung Gear. However, this is one of the smallest fitness trackers that has full GPS/HR tracking and an altimeter. It brings max tracking power with minimal bulk.

TechGearLab

A little pricey for its performance

from TechGearLab

This middle-of-the-road fitness tracker is relatively uninspiring and failed to impress. It's a little on the pricey side and doesn't really stand out from the pack. It's a definite improvement over some of the previous Garmin models in terms of being a quality, everyday fitness tracker.

Compact, lightweight, and packed with features

The Garmin vívosport is a great fitness tracker and an obvious alternative to the Fitbit competition. It's slim, light, has a GPS and a heart rate monitor, and features plenty of improvements over its predecessors.

Best for accurate tracking

from The Wirecutter

In the Vívosport, Garmin combines the best of its stable of fitness trackers—from an always-visible display to automatic exercise detection to heart-rate monitoring to GPS—and does it quite well.
