360-degree video becomes easy to handle

from The Indian Express

At the moment, the GoPro Fusion would well be the best affordable 360-degree camera. It is also the easiest to use from an editing perspective. But given that we are dealing with really heavy files here, GoPro might need to improve the sharing capabilities.

DC Rainmaker

Shoots absolutely stunning footage

As with virtually all GoPro products, the company tends to make incredibly well designed and impressive hardware (as long as it doesn’t fly). It’s easy to shoot the footage, and it does what you expect it to out on your adventure. But it’s the software that tends to let it down.

Stuff

Falls just short of being the revolutionary action cam

from Stuff

The GoPro Fusion's hardware is great. You can turn 360-degree video into a special effect shot that would have baffled Hollywood a decade ago, and both image quality and stabilisation are excellent.

A fantastic VR camera

from TrustedReviews

For GoPro’s first 360-degree VR camera, the GoPro Fusion gets a lot right. I say that now after it’s been out for a few months, because the experience at launch was considerably poorer.

High-quality 360-degree footage

from NDTV

The Fusion is too expensive for what feels like an unfinished product. The hardware is solid but the software has a lot of catching up to do.

Pocket-lint

The 360 camera you've been waiting for

from Pocket-lint

The GoPro Fusion is a 360-degree camera that's stupidly simple to shoot with and capable of producing very impressive video. Its real win is OverCapture, though, which on iPhone is utterly brilliant.

TechCrunch

A worthy 360 camera

from TechCrunch

The GoPro Fusion feels a tad unfinished, but there’s enough that the company has done right to recommend it as a worthy 360 camera that’s particularly well-suited to existing GoPro users familiar with the company’s apps and feature sets.

Forbes

Eventually a great camera

from Forbes

The incomplete app support limits how many people can use this camera. If you’ve got a recent iPhone and a fast laptop, sure, it’s great. But for everyone else, it’s not there yet. The constant crashing of the desktop app is certainly something fixable, but as of this writing, it’s incredibly frustrating.

Brings better pixel and frame rates than most competitors

from postPerspective

GoPro’s Fusion camera is not the first 360 camera on the market, but it brings more pixels and higher frame rates than most of its direct competitors, and more importantly it has the software package to assist users in the transition to processing 360 video footage.
