One of the best USB-sized devices in 2016

from TechRadar
If you've already bought into Amazon's ecosphere, the Fire TV Stick will be the proverbial rug that ties the room together – it's fast, responsive and works flawlessly with Amazon's infrastructure. If you aren't an Amazon insider, however, consider the other streaming options before you buy... Full review

Getting what you paid for

Should anyone buy the Fire TV Stick? Maybe, if you’re looking to spend as little as possible for the best experience with Amazon Prime Video. Just keep in mind that the Fire TV set-top box is a much faster and more capable device. It’ll cost more up-front, but won’t be screaming for replacement any time soon... Full review

If you are a Prime member, then this really is an excellent product to pick up

from Android Headlines

If you are a Prime member, then this really is an excellent product to pick up. The compatibility of the likes of Amazon Instant Video has always been an issue for Android device owners and especially for Android TV device owners. However, at this price, regardless of whether you own an android TV device or a Chromecast, it make sense to pick up a Fire TV Stick as well. The value is there if you a Prime member. However, where Amazon really changed the game this year, is by introducing the remote control and this suddenly changes the essence of the unit and even for those who are not Prime m... Full review

A great value TV streamer

Amazon’s Fire TV Stick is a decent bit of kit. It’s cheap at £35 (£45 for the voice-enabled remote isn't bad either), and in some ways it’s more flexible than Google’s Chromecast. The bundled remote control means anyone can pick up the remote and use it without having to get to grips with the casting side of things. We’re also pleased to see support for dual-band networks, while its nippy performance makes it much more of a pleasure to use than the Roku Streaming Stick... Full review

Puts lots of value into a tiny package, and earns our Editors' Choice

from PC Magazine
Amazon's new Fire TV Stick With Voice Remote should be your go-to device if you want an inexpensive way to stream media to your HDTV. The Fire TV platform might be very Amazon-centric, but it's still big and flexible enough to accommodate your streaming tastes across a variety of different apps and services. The addition of voice control with Alexa is a major bonus, especially for just $10 more than the original version... Full review

Fast, cheap, and great for Prime members

from Business Insider
Still, if you use Prime, and you don’t plan on wearing down your media streamer too heavily, the Fire TV Stick is still a great value. (And we haven’t even mentioned how it has deep parental controls or works with hotel WiFi.) Now, if you grab the new remote, it’s even better... Full review
