LG has scored another milestone as they’ve just announced that they have managed to sell over 1 million KM900 Arena phones worldwide. This comes hot off the heels of last month’s announcement that their LG Cookie has surpassed the 5 million mark, and will no doubt solidify their no. 3 position in the industry.
The LG Arena, as you might recall, is one of LG’s first touchscreen-equipped phones that already boast of their new S-class 3D UI. Apart from that, it’s also a decently featured device as it also comes with a 5-megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, 7.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity and 8GB internal memory. It hasn’t been offered yet by any carriers in the US or Canada, but it has enjoyed immense popularity in Europe helping LG become one of the top performers last quarter.
With two hot devices in their stable and a highly anticipated device in the form of the BL40 Chocolate on the way, LG is definitely keeping in step with Samsung as they aim to inch closer to Nokia at the top spot.
