Nokia’s slowly building up their touchscreen collection of phones as it appears that we’ve got yet another new touchscreen phone to look forward to in the form of the Nokia 5900 XpressMusic. This image courtesy of PCOnline.com.cn has actually been around for quite sometime already, but it’s only now that its specs have been revealed.
According to the Nokia Mobile Talk, the 5900 XpressMusic will be more similar to the Nokia N97 as opposed to its XpressMusic sibling, the 5800, as far as hardware specs are concerned. It will feature the same CPU, RAM, 5-megapixel camera, and touchscreen display, but will, however, boast of a new UI which could be very well be the upcoming S60 5th Edition SP1. Design-wise, the 5900 XpressMusic will still look a lot like the 5800 XpressMusic although being lighter and slimmer. It’s also rumored to support the new SDXC cards which can provide capacities higher than 32GB, but this one’s still unconfirmed.
It looks good so far, but unfortunately, a release date was not part of the report. Nonetheless, with Nokia World scheduled for next month, if we’re lucky, we might not have to wait that long before this baby gets officially. For now, take this bit of news with a grain of salt until we get some additional info on this new touchscreen phone of Nokia.
