Already have a Palm Pre smartphone and want to sync it with the latest version of iTunes? Well, worry no more. Palm has just released webOS 1.1.0 which addresses this issue.
If you can remember, iTunes version 8.1.1 disabled Palm Pre syncing with its more accurate authentication process which is now able to recognize and shun Palm’s latest smartphone in order to deprive them from enjoying the benefits of its rich features on their non-Apple device. However, Palm wasn’t ready to just take this lightly and has come out with a fix to the temporary setback. The latest firmware, webOS 1.1.0, for the Palm Pre once again enables iTunes syncing and also includes Exchange support, emoticons, and a new NFL Mobile Live app for American football fans who want to watch games on their new Palm acquisition.
There's are still some other minor enhancements and changes, but these ones we mentioned are the most notable ones. If you want more info on the webOS 1.1.0, you can read more about it here.
So, if you’ve been holding out on downloading iTunes or upgrading to the latest version, you can now do so and simply update your Palm Pre’s firmware to start/continue enjoying iTunes syncing with your Palm smartphone.
