The Sony Ericsson C905 has been available in Asia and Europe for quite sometime now, but it has yet to be released in the North American region. It has, however, been approved by the FCC, and from the looks of it, both AT&T and T-Mobile will be the US carriers to offer this 8-megapixel camera phone.
To date, the Samsung Memoir is the first and only 8-megapixel phone available on T-Mobile, and if the C905 does make it to their line-up, it will be their second 8-megapixel phone offering. We’re not sure which of the two carriers will get to offer this 8-megapixel Sony Ericsson camera phone first, but from the info provided, it will possibly be renamed as the CS8 when it goes on retail on T-Mobile.
In Canada, it is expected to become available on either Rogers or Fido. With its somewhat steep price, it’ll most likely be offered under the Rogers brand, but as to when it will be officially released, we’re still clueless in this regard.
