LG has officially announced not just one, but three new phones: the LG GM310, LG GM210 and LG GM205. The trio will come with Dolby Mobile and LG’s Sound Engine technology which should make it competitive with other music-centric devices in the market such as the Nokia’s XpressMusic line.
The LG GM310 features a 2.2-inch QVGA display, 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera, dual-band HSDPA (900/2100MHz) connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1 and 1GB internal memory expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). Very little was disclosed about the features of the other two phones, but it was revealed that both the LG GM210 and GM205 will come with a 2-megapixel camera. It was also made known that the LG GM210 slider supports up to 4GB in additional memory via microSD card while the candybar GM205 maxes out at 2GB.
The three phones will debut in Latin America within the next couple of months, and will be released later in Eastern Europe and Asia. While there’s no indication that the trio will make it to the North American market, the good news is that the GM210 with GSM 850/1900MHz bands was recently approved by the FCC making it eligible for distribution in the US. No word though on when this will exactly happen, but it's at least good to know that one of the three phones could possibly be released in the US and Canadian markets.
