If you’re a huge fan of RIM and their BlackBerry phones, then we urge you to read on. BGR has got some insider info on the next batch of BlackBerry phones.

The codenames and specs are confirmed to be legit, but the release dates for these new smartphones are yet to be known. Here’s a quick rundown of what we know so far:

BlackBerry Onyx and Magnum:
• GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS device
• GPS
• Camera
• Wi-Fi (no UMA support)
• QWERTY keyboard
• 480×360 resolution screen
• Confirmed carriers: AT&T

BlackBerry Driftwood:
• GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS device
• GPS
• Camera
• Wi-Fi with UMA
• QWERTY keyboard

All three devices are part of the 9000 series which should mean that 3G connectivity will be on-board. As you can see, the leaked specs are pretty much the same across all 3 devices. The differentiating element for each of the phones could be in the design, the carrier and/or in features yet unknown. The Magnum has been mentioned already in the past as part of Rogers 2009 line-up. We're not quite sure if this is the same phone, but there's no indication to believe that it's not.

It’s still pretty early on in the year and we’ve got other RIM devices to look forward to such as the Niagara 9630 and the GSM version of the Storm otherwise known as the Storm 2. Nonetheless, we’ll keep you guys posted once we get more info on this trio of BlackBerries.
