HTC has just announced their latest QWERTY-equipped smartphone at CTIA dubbed the HTC Snap.
It’s one of their thinnest smartphones to date measuring in at only a mere 12mm in thickness. The HTC Snap likewise comes with a 2-megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, HSDPA connectivity, GPS, 128MB RAM/265MB ROM, and Windows Mobile 6.1 running the show. It’s got a Qualcomm 528MHz processor at the helm which basically gives us an idea of how fast it’ll be with regards to performance. It also comes with a 1500 mAh battery and a new Inner Circle feature which aims at provide users with quick access to messages coming from important people with just one press of a button.
While its feature-set may not be considered ground-breaking, it's still solid even by today's standards, and it should be noted that this could be released as an affordable QWERTY-equipped smartphone. It’s expected to start shipping in Q2, and is confirmed to be headed to the US market as well albeit being renamed as the HTC S522 for the region.
