Samsung Canada has officially announced the Samsung Omnia. While this doesn’t come as a complete surprise since we've seen an Omnia page go live just a couple of days ago, nothing makes it more official than an announcement from the company itself.

What’s interesting to note in this announcement is that early April has been mentioned as the availability date of the Samsung Omnia, and both Bell and Telus have been confirmed as the mobile carriers to sell it.

On a similar note, MobileSyrup reports that Bell will sell the Omnia bundled with a 2GB card loaded with tons of NHL goodies for $129.95 on voice and data package on a 3-yr contract. For voice only package, it’s priced at $349.95, $399.95, and $499.95 for a 3-yr, 2-yr, and single year contract respectively. Getting it outright will cost $549.95. Bell will officially launch the Omnia on April 9.

That’s just about it for now, but rest assured, we’re still keeping an eye out for Telus on when they’ll be releasing the Samsung Omnia and how much they’ll be offering it to the public.
