We’ve heard that Bell would be releasing the Samsung Omnia in Canada in Q2 of this year, and with this latest bit of news, it looks like there’s more to it than just being a rumor.
Samsung Canada has already posted a page of the Omnia on their website which is a good indication of its impending release. Apart from Bell, Telus is another Canadian mobile carrier that could offer up the Samsung Omnia very soon.
Of course, the Samsung Omnia isn’t the latest touchscreen smartphone from the Korean company with the Omnia HD being unveiled just last month. However, with specs such as a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, 8GB internal memory expandable up to 24GB, and Windows Mobile 6.1 running the show, it’ll probably be one of the better-featured Samsung touchscreen phones for quite a while.
